“Health on Wheels”: Mobile primary health care for Rural and hard to reach communities

Your support will increase the number of rural poor who can access diagnosis and treatment of common infections and conditions. Your support which may be in cash, equipment or supplies to allow us provide for the following:

• Mobile laboratory, diagnostic kits and Laboratory supplies
• Drugs
• Information and Educational materials
• Payment of medical bills of patients who are referred to other health services.

Support for Orphans and Vulnerable Children

We provide scholarship and food support to OVCs in our Community project sites in Kabusa, Kei and Pyakasa all in Abuja and Amaraku in Imo State. We would love to sustain these supports and extend same to more OVCs in our present sites and beyond. We will need your cash and in-kind support for the following:

• School fees, books, uniforms and other school supplies
• Food items, toys
• Clothing, shoes, sandals and slippers

Advocacy, Education and community Mobilization

Your donations and in-kind support will help increase our capacity for health education and community mobilization.. The following are needed:

• Audio-visual equipment
• Information and educational materials
• Vehicles
• Sponsor outreaches, rallies and community dialogues

Nursing Excellence Award and Training

Nurses in Nigeria are faced with multi faceted challenges at work which has caused many of them to seek greener pastures outside the shores of the country. The few left have had to deal with many more patients under very difficult and discouraging circumstance. To thank our nurses and motivate them to continue to provide excellent care to the nation, CRH launched the Annual Nursing Excellence Award. We need your support to sustain and enrich the program
Your donations could support:

• Nursing excellence awards- hire of halls, feeding, award plaques, event brochures, publicity, cash awards, transportation and accommodation for selection committee members.
• Transportation, accommodations and fees for continuing education programs for  nurses
• Scholarships to train entry level nurses

Income generating Activities

Most of the rural poor, especially women and adolescent girls needs economic empowerment to remove them from the fringes of poverty and dependence on men, a factor which predisposes them to HIV infection and commercial sex work. Donations in cash and in-kind will assist us meet the following needs:

• Tools and equipment
• Skills training
• Cash to rent and stock shops

• by sending a check issued to Center for the Right to Health and sent to any of our addresses.

A receipt will be issued to each donor, and with your permission, we will mention your contribution in our annual report. Donors will be sent an update on the status of donations and the well being of the beneficiaries.
